The groom wears the two-piece garment known as veshti which is the lower garment that is either draped like a dhoti or simply rolled over the waist as a lungi along with the angavastram which is the scarf taken over the neck and shoulders. A simple white shirt is carried along with the ensemble. Whereas the bride slays the look with the kanjeevaram silk saree in vibrant hues and colors along with the stunning designs and varieties of gold accessories that are family heirlooms passed through generations for giving that goddess-like look. The accessories include Tamil mang tikka, nethi on both sides of central hair parting, no. of necklaces layered around her neck, gold bangles, diamond nose pins, etc. The true beauty of the couple lies on the flower garland around their necks.
